Director & Head of Mineral Processing
Maada Gombeh is a mining professional with 10 years experience in the industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Geology (2010) from University of Sierra Leone. He later trained nd specialized in mineral processing at Sierra Rutile Limited, the largest natural rutile operation in the world. Maada is also pursuing an online MSc in Project management at Roehampton University in London.
Maada Gombeh is a dedicated and results-oriented person, with a sound understanding of the nexus between mineral heavy mineral suites and gravity processing systems, and a flair and intuition for the appraisal and troubleshooting of processing plants. He is therefore central to GMCC’s mineral processing knowledge and capacity, a role that he wears with pride and cheer.
Maada loves to share his acquired skills, knowledge, and competencies, and insists to do this only through safe and reliable techniques. He seamlessly and amicably thrives in multi-national, ethnic and cultural environments, and favours mentoring as a pastime – especially to groom them to minimize equipment failures, changeovers, unplanned maintenance and material shortages, and to maximize production up time and productivity.
